Description of Materials

1.  Description of Flexo-Printed Materials:

 Differences
 White & Yellow Gloss Paper:
Offered with a permanent adhesive, this paper stock is used when a high quality label is required. Due to the gloss finish, this material is not recommended for use with a pen or typewriter. Indoor life expectancy is 2 years.
 Silver & Gold Foil Papers:
Foil material has a shiny, metallic appearance. Foils are supplied with permanent adhesive. They will not readily accept pen or typerwriter inks. Indoor life expectancy is 2 years.

 Flexo & Screen Printed Items

  • Flexo-Printed Materials are not weather proof, therefore only indoor use is recommended.
  • Flexo-Printed inks will vary slightly in color from our standard screen printed inks.
  • Screen Printed materials are weather proof and water proof. They may be used indoors and outdoors
 White Matte Paper :

Offered with a permanent adhesive, this paper stock is recommended when a "write-on" surface for typing or ball point pen is required. Although matte surface will readily accept any method of writing and typing, correctability may be limited on some typewriters. Indoor life expectancy is two years.
Thermal Foil Stamping:

This is an imprint process which gives copy and artwork the appearance of metallic gold or metallic silver foil. Foil stamping is not an ink process, but uses a thermal die to transfer metallic foil to paper material. Thermal Foil Stamping is offered in gold foil and silver foil imprint colors on a variety of paper materials.

 Fluorescent Papers:

Fluorescent papers are available in red, pink, green, yellow, and orange. This material will readily make your message stand out. Black ink is recommended on all fluorescent papers. Indoor life expectancy is two years.

 2. Description of Screen-Printed Materials:

 Vinyl:

Our standard white or yellow vinyl is a plasticized, flexible, 4 mil film, coated with either a permanent or temporary adhesive. Vinyls are scuff-resistant and ultraviolet-resistant, so they will withstand outdoor use. Life expectancy is 2-3 years or longer. Application temperatures for vinyl material and adhesives range from +35°F to +185°F. Once applied, vinyl will adhere in temperatures between -50°F to +185° F.

 Floor Graphics:

These items are constructed of white or yellow vinyl with a specially formulated removable adhesive and overlaminated with a skid-resistant coating.
 Domed Decals:

Choose a base material from a variety of substrates. Silk screened or embossed and covered with a flexible three dimensional polyurethane dome.
 Magnetic:

This material will withstand temperatures ranging from -40°F to +160°F. Although the temperature of the vehicle is unimportant, the temperature of the material should be at least +60°F for installation. To extend the life of the product, remove the sign at least once a week for cleaning with warm water and a mild detergent. Be sure vehicle and sign are wiped dry before reapplying.
 Destructible Vinyls:

Available in a white and clear format, this material is 2 mil and supplied with a permanent adhesive. Life expectancy is 5 years outdoors without showing any significatnt changes in durability. Once applied destructible materials adhere in temperatures -40° F to +176° F.
 Polyester:

We offer polyesters in chrome, brushed chrome, gold and clear. Polyesters do not stretch or shrink which means they are exceptionally durable. Permanent adhesive is standard for long term use inside or out. Polyester substrates are stiffer than vinyl substrates and are best applied to flat or gently curved surfaces. They do not readily conform to irregular surfaces. Application temperatures are between +45°F and +100°F. The usage temperatures, after application, are -50°F to +275°F.
 50 pt. Board:

A rigid, 14-ply white board specially suited for point-of-purchase displays. This product is intended for indoor use only and is easily imprinted on both sides.
 Voidable Chrome:

This polyester film is 2 mil thick and lists a 2 year outdoor life expectancy. Usage temperature once applied is -40° F to +300° F. This material is supplied with the same aggressive adhesive as found on our SuperTac© Vinyl.
 24 Point (6-PLY) & 18 Point:

Our poster board is polyethylene-coated on both sides for weather resistance. It is designed to repel water and is imprintable on one side only.
 Removable Materials:

This material is 4 mil and recommended for indoor use. If used outdoors it will only remove cleanly for the first 6 months of use. The material may last longer outside but may not remove from the applied area without leaving an adhesive residue. The usage temperature for this item is -40° F to +176° F.
 Static Stick Vinyl:

This material has no adhesive, but will cling to all flat, smooth surfaces. Static Stick© can be easily removed and reapplied without any negative effect to the decal itself. It is recommended only for indoor use and can be used on the inside of vehicle windows.
 Adhesive:

Permanent adhesive will be used on all pressure-sensitive materials unless otherwise stated in the specific product description.
 Prismatic:

This is a vinyl material, metallicized for an attention-getting appearance. This item is holographic and recommended for indoor use only with a usage temperature of -40° F to +150° F. The PRISMATIC patterns repeat every 6-9 inches. A seam line of approximately 1/16Ó width may appear on some of the finished decals.
 Poly-Plastic:

This heavy, durable plastic sheeting material will not crack, peel, or chip in cold weather. It can be drilled to allow for fasteners, and can be nailed, tacked, or stapled to fence posts or other surfaces.
 Lamination:

Applying a clear polyester sheeting over a decal can achieve extra durability, color fastness, and resistance to solvents. Most of the products in the Screen-printed Line will accept this process. Call or write for pricing.

 Embossable Aluminum :

This 2 mil. silver aluminum foil has an expected life of 2-3 years and a usage temperature range of +50° to +350°F.
 Pre-Masking:

Application tape can be added to the entire face of large decals to give them added rigidity. Pre-masking will offer temporary protection from paint, oils, and other solvents until the decal has been applied. Price varies with size and quantity. Call or write for pricing.
